Some days the road is longer and the load is heavier. Some days we go full force ahead and some days we are exhausted and frayed before we begin. Some days it is our own fault and sometimes it happens through no fault of our own. We live in a time of stress. The job market is stressful, the workplace is stressful, being in traffic is stressful, illness in the family or friends is stressful. One day’s burden may not be excessively great but we as humans triple its weight by bearing yesterday’s burden again today and adding today’s. And then, piling tomorrow’s on top of the mess. God does not want us to go through life’s trials alone! If we are saved, we are only a prayer away from casting our heavy load into the hands of our Heavenly Father. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28. Travel with Jesus, one day at a time.
