Christmas is not just a holiday or date on the calendar.  It is a time when a specific person was born.  “Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11).

Christmas is also a time when many, many people are alone and depressed.  We need to reach out to them and show them God’s Love.

No room for Jesus? “She brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7).  Circumstances have not changed much.  We are so busy spinning our wheels – making cookies, spending lots of money on presents, going to parties – we exclude the reason for the season – JESUS.  DO NOT forget to OPEN your heart and thank the Lord for the gift of His Son.  “The Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost” (Luke 19:10).
